Locksee is a free encrypted messenger from Dubai. You add people with a QR code — not a phone number — then you decide who sees you and who can call.
If you have ever given someone your number just so you could chat, you already know the trap. The chat was the goal. The number was the price. After that, the number lives in their phone, in backups, sometimes in a group, sometimes in a leak.
Locksee is built to skip that trade. It is a free messaging app from Locksee Information Technology LLC in Dubai. You connect with a QR code. Chats, voice calls, and video calls are encrypted on the device. Locksee cannot read the thread.
The problem with the apps most people already use
WhatsApp, Telegram, and most “everyone is on it” messengers start with a phone number. That is convenient. It is also a public handle. Anyone who has the number can try to reach you. Groups can turn into a directory. A group call can show more than you meant to share.
Those apps also treat presence as a side effect of being connected. If you are on the internet, you often look available. Privacy settings tend to be global. You hide last seen from everyone, or from no one. You rarely get to say: this one person cannot call me, and this other person still can.
What Locksee actually is
Locksee is numberless. Your identity in the app is a QR you choose to show. Scan theirs, or let them scan yours. That is the contact list. There is no phone book sitting in the middle waiting to be scraped.
On top of encryption you get the controls people actually fight about: Ghost Mode, per-chat permissions, a QR share alert, a QR scan limit, sealed groups, Lock Chat, screenshot protection, self-destruct messages, and a wallpaper for one thread only.
Who it is for
Families who change schools or SIMs. Teams that do not want a work chat sitting on a personal number. Anyone tired of spam from a number they never meant to publish. People who share a phone at home and still need one conversation to stay locked.
It is free on iOS and Android. Support is help@locksee.app. The official feature list lives at locksee.app/about. We do not invent download counts or star ratings. The product has to stand on what it does.
