- This Privacy Policy describes our policies on the collection, store, protection, use and disclosure of personally identifiable and other information about you in connection with your use of our services, including those offered through our mobile application LOCKSEE. The terms ''we'', ''us'', ''our'' etc. refer to M/s Locksee Information Technology LLC, a company incorporated under the Laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with its head office at Office No. E2-105, Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Ramahi, Al Muteena, Dubai, UAE.
- The terms “you” “your” or “Use” refer to the user of the Platform. The term “Services” refers to any services offered by us whether on a desktop, a laptop, a notebook, a tablet, a Smartphone, a mobile phone, or any other computing device (Collectively “Platform”).
- Please read this Policy before using the Platform or submitting any personal information to us. This Policy is a part of and incorporated within, and is to be read along with, the Terms of Use.
- This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our application, which includes features such as QR code connectivity, screenshot management, chat functionalities, audio/video calling, and premium memberships. Your privacy and security are our top priorities.

- By using our Platform and the Services, you agree and consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage, disclosure and sharing of your information as described and collected by us in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with the Policy, please do not use or access our given Platform.
- POLICY CHANGES
- We may occasionally update this Policy and such changes will be posted on this page. If we make any significant changes to this Policy we will endeavor to provide you with reasonable notice of such changes, such as via prominent notice on our Platform and where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent. To the extent permitted under the applicable law, your continued use of our Services after we publish or send a notice about our changes to this Policy shall constitute your consent to the updated Policy.
- LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
- Our Platform may contain links to other websites which can be redirected through Google Ads for the non premium users. Any personal information about you collected whilst visiting such websites is not governed by this Policy. We shall not be responsible for and have no control over the practices and content of any website accessed using the links contained on our Platform. This Policy shall not apply to any information you may disclose to any of our service providers/service personnel which we do not require you to disclose to us or any of our service providers under this Policy.
- INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM YOU
We will collect and process the following information about you:
- INFORMATION COLLECTED PURSUANT TO USE OF OUR SERVICES
- To use some of the features, functions or capabilities of our Service or carry out any transactions using the Service, you have to create a User account with us or getting yourself registered with us through our Platform. You can create or update your account with us by sharing the information, which may include, but not limited to, username (as enlisted by the user), uniquely generated user ID, profile picture URL, background photo URL, phone number, bio, last active and any other information you voluntarily provide such as, location based on allowance popup, autofill text messages for reading OTP for login into your account. The data collected will be used for enabling app functionalities such as QR code connectivity, screenshot management, chat features, and premium membership services.
- Upon installation of Locksee app in user device and creation of user account, a QR will be generated for connecting with the plurality of devices,embodied with secured algorithm and privacy feature that restricts the users to share any personal information through masked QR which will not showcase any personal information like phone numbers even after someone scans it. It also includes automatic QR reset technology development that will allow user to only connect through one time QR generation and can restrict multiple unwanted users to get added to the application chatting dashboard. Connectivity between users may be through an in-app QR code that may reset itself after each scan / connection enablement. The QR code may be generated within the application and may have an algorithm for resetting itself.
- Unless stated otherwise in this Privacy Policy, the personal data that you provide us will only be stored for as long as it is necessary for us to fulfill our obligations in respect of the provision of the Services.
- We access, preserve, and share your information and our chat data for a maximum period of three months, if we have a good-faith belief that it is necessary to: (a) respond pursuant to applicable law or regulations, legal process, or government requests; (b) enforce our Terms and any other applicable terms and policies, including for investigations of potential violations; (c) detect, investigate, prevent, or address fraud and other illegal activity or security, and technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our users, , or others, including to prevent death or imminent bodily harm.
- All personal chat messages are protected by end-to-end encryption using flutter package encryption helper (Base 64) to ensure only intended recipients can read them. Although the Developer can decrypt user’s chats with a unique message ID for each and every chat transmitted between users upon notice of illegal activities from a user or any law enforcement agency. Before decrypting the chats, we will share the written notice with the user for the purpose of acknowledgement. We employ robust encryption protocols to ensure that your chat content remains confidential and secure from unauthorized access.
- Group chats will not be end to end encrypted. We employ robust security measures, access controls within the company to protect your data, including Group Chat Limitations which allow users to only view and contact those they are directly connected to via QR codes.
- We process your personal data on the ground that such processing is necessary to further our legitimate interests (including: (1) providing effective and innovative Services to our users; and (2) to detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud or security issues in respect of our provision of Services), unless those interests are overridden by your interest or fundamental rights and freedoms that require protections of personal data and in such cases consent will be obtained.
- As enunciated in the above paragraph, information will have to be furnished, in order to facilitate creation of a User Account. Additionally, we will also collect and use the following information as mandated by law to enable us to perform tasks integral to our Service:
- Internet Browsing details (in case you are connecting to our service/ platforms);
- Application browsing details
- Date and Time of access to our service; and
- Any other information that we may seek or is mandated by law from time to time to efficiently run our Service.
For our Service to operate effectively we require the above mentioned information, however, if you do not wish to grant such permission, you will not be able to use our Service.
- INFORMATION COLLECTED BY COOKIES-
- In addition to the personal information that we collect as mentioned above, whenever you use the Service, general information such as your computer 's or mobile 's Internet Protocol (IP) address, Mac Address and the device type is collected through the use of ''cookies''. It may be possible to disable some (but not all) ''cookies'' through your device or browser settings, but doing so may affect the functionality of the Service. The method for disabling ''cookies'' may vary by device and browser, but can usually be found in preferences or security settings. The information collected using ''cookies'' will be treated, for all intents and purposes, as personal information.
- OTHER INFORMATION:
- Based on the use of our Service provided on the Platform, we also collect following information:
- Correspondence with our customer support;
- Report problems for troubleshooting.
- Based on your Correspondence, your correspondence details.
- Depending on the Services that you use, and your app settings or device permissions, we may collect your real time information, or approximate location information as determined through data such as GPS, IP address.
- Information pertaining to hardware models, operating systems and versions, software, file names and versions, preferred languages, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, serial numbers, device motion information and mobile network information.
- That Locksee application (App) may also access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your mobile device. This may include, for example, photographs, audio and video clips, personal contacts and address book information. If you permit the App to access the address book on your device, we may collect names and contact information from your address book to facilitate social interactions through our services and for other purposes described in this Policy or at the time of consent or collection.
- Based on the use of our Service provided on the Platform, we also collect following information:

- To set up and log-in to a User Account on Locksee (our Platform) and to provide you with User support
- To enforce the terms of this Policy or our Terms of Service, including our additional Terms of Service, or to protect the rights or property of others;
- To provide, personalize, maintain and improve our services, such as to enable features to personalize your User account;
- To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with the services;
- To administer and enhance the security of our Platform and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;
- To understand Your location and provide You with location specific content and thus to personalize your experience while using the Service.
- To understand our users (what they do on our Services, what features they like, how they use them, etc.), improve the content and features of our Services.
- To ensure that our service is compatible with the OS of the device and the content is displayed properly
In addition to the pointed reasons cited above, we will use the information that we broadly collect for the following, amongst other purposes related to the Service:
- QR Code Connectivity: QR codes are generated within the app for user connections. Each QR code resets after a scan to ensure secure connectivity.
- Screenshot Management: Screenshots taken in personal chats require permission. Screenshots are stored with user information and timestamps. Group chat screenshots are automatically saved and organized by user and date.
- Audio/Video Calls: We facilitate audio and video calls within the app. Calls can be made to users connected through QR codes.
- Premium Features: Premium users have access to features like the "Green Light" functionality and the ability to see online and last-seen status of other users.
- Lock Connect Feature: Premium members can create Lock Connect groups with QR codes having a set number of scans. Admins of these groups have specific controls.
- Screenshot Permissions
- Personal Chat Screenshots: Users must approve or deny screenshot requests. Approved screenshots are saved in a dedicated in-app gallery.
- Group Chat Screenshots: Screenshots are automatically saved and organized by user and date without requiring prior permission.
- Screenshot Notifications: Users receive notifications when someone takes a screenshot, including the username of the individual.
- Additionally, the information that we broadly collect for the following, amongst other purposes related to the Service:
- To provide you with the functionalities of the Service.
- To improve the quality, features and functionality of the Service.
- To improve the security of the Service.
- To provide feedback.
- To back up our systems and allow for disaster recovery.

- To protect the rights and safety of Our Users and third parties, as well as our own.
- HOW WE SHARE THE INFORMATION
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with Third Parties without your prior consent, except in the limited circumstances described in this Policy. However,we may share your information that we collect for following purposes.
- Law Enforcement: We may have to disclose your personal information to any Third Party by an order under the law for the time being in force. Further, we may have to share your personal information with Government agencies mandated under the law to obtain information including sensitive personal data or information for the purpose of verification of identity, or for prevention, detection, investigation, including cyber incidents, prosecution and punishment of offenses. Further, the information has to be revealed for Detecting and preventing against actual or potential occurrence of identity theft, fraud, abuse of Services and other illegal acts. And also, for Responding to claims that an advertisement, posting or other content violates the intellectual property rights of a third party.

- USER CONNECTIVITY
- Group Chat Limitations: Users can only view profiles and contact users they are directly connected to via QR codes. Adding random users or contacting unconnected group members is not permitted.
- Conference Calls: Users can participate in audio/video conference calls limited to 10-16 members and can only add people from their QR-based connections.
- ADVERTISING
- Free users of LockSee may encounter advertisements within the application. These ads are designed to be non-intrusive and relevant to the user experience.
- Premium subscribers will not see advertisements and will enjoy an ad-free experience.
- LANGUAGES
Our app supports multiple languages, including English, Hindi , Arabic, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian.
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 Compliance
In accordance with the DPDPA, we ensure the following rights for our users:
- Right to Access: Subject to the applicable laws, You have the right to request from us for access to your personal data, which you have previously consented to us for processing the personal data that we hold. However, such request should be made in prescribed manner with illustrating the summary of such personal data, which is being processed by us and any other information relating to such personal data.
- Right to Rectification:Since you have shared with us the personal data, which is required to be processed from end to give benefit of the service we render, hence we expect that the personal data should be true and accurate. However, if while sharing such personal data if some discrepancy has cret in then you can request correction or updating of your personal data.
- Right to Erasure:As soon as you withdraw your request, the Personal data shared by you for processing shall be deleted/ erased from our database. However, such deletion of the personal data is subject to applicable law, as such if for the compliance of any law we have to retain the personal data then we shall not delete the same.
- Right to Restriction of Processing: Unless otherwise prohibited by the Law for the time being in force, you can request restriction on the processing of any or whole part of your personal data under certain circumstances.
